Secure Tunnels at the Edge
Cloudflare Tunnel creates encrypted connections between your infrastructure and the Cloudflare edge. The cloudflared daemon runs on your origin and establishes outbound tunnels, eliminating the need for public IPs, open ports, or firewall rules.
Imagine an underground tunnel between your house and the bank. No one on the street knows it exists. You go in through the basement and come out inside the vault. Tunnel works the same way: a direct, invisible connection between your origin and Cloudflare.
